When the son of cult leaders registers his house as a church to avoid property taxes, the IRS takes notice. So does everyone else.

Official Trailer

The Gospel of Peacock

Simon Peacock grew up in a cult. His parents were its leaders. When he was a teenager, the congregation boarded a comet that wasn't coming. Simon survived. Most didn't.

Now in his 30s, Simon lives on Venice Beach. The inheritance is gone. The property taxes are due. His solution is practical, not spiritual: register the house as a church. Simple paperwork. No congregation required.

Then the doorbell starts ringing.

Except that when the son of cult leaders files that paperwork, the IRS opens an investigation — which forces Simon to actually run a church. A community forms around a man who never wanted one.

Then a faction within the congregation begins pushing to restore the alien-centered beliefs of his parents. What started as a tax dodge is now a standoff — with the Feds on one side and a splinter sect on the other.

Simontology is a deadpan dark comedy about inheritance, belief, and the things we accidentally build.
